Shivan and Narresh show their love for gardening through new collection,Life

 

The designers Shivan Bhatiya and Narresh Kukreja rekindled their lifelong passion of gardening with the release of their new collection, Couture Series - II: Gardeners At Work. The inspiration finds a home in the lushness and profusion of greens as they reflect on their time spent at their favorite nursery during the lockdown. They return to the drawing board after delving deeply into the exacting textures, shapes, and components of the inspiring leaves, acting equally as designers and gardeners.

35 gorgeous looks in stark shades of Noir, Vermillion, Periwinkle, and Champagne are shot amidst the natural splendor of the nursery and bloom against the vibrant verdure to sing a lovely garden song. The visual delicacy of botanical anatomy is sculpted using handcrafted 3D plastic patterns that interpret, floral appliqué. Silky rose petals flowing over tiered Gazar silk skirts and organza trails, as well as sculptural bustiers, all evoke the artistic symphony of an English garden while being balanced by the sheen and dazzle of glass beads scattered across surfaces. . Sensual sheath dresses, bustiers, and saris for women, as well as kurta sets and bomber jackets for men, are bordered by fine textiles made of silk and Lurex yarns that are hand-knitted in a variety of designs and crochets, evoking the force of couture at the textile layer.

Thus, the focus of the Series is on contemporary shapes that go beyond the conventional notion of celebration, such as asymmetrical hemlines, column dresses, branded swimwear, and the classic bikini sari for women. With dreamy folds of shirts and kurtas in rich silks and textured surfaces, the collection for men transcends to explore structure and sharpness with Bandh galas & Suits.

Statement jewelry worn with clothing, a more recent addition to the Shivan & Narresh design universe, imparts a distinct sense of antiquity. The jewelry romanticizes the memory of how the mothers of the designers formerly created their own individualized accessories using gold coins, as pendants and necklaces. The face design, which is created in glass and metallic beads on some silhouettes and is reminiscent of the mosaics seen in traditional Italian gardens, emphasizes more of this historical antiquity.
